Dr. Perrino does a great job with this practical guide. Perfect for the novice and intermediate cardiac anesthesiologist.

This textbook is a perfect starting point for someone learning Perioperative TEE. I didn’t have a background in TEE when I first read it and it seemed dense. However, I did a rotation in Cardiac Anesthesia, then re-read it and it has everything you need to understand Perioperative TEE. This book was also the foundation for studying for the Advanced Perioperative TEE boards, which I passed. Perrino/Reeves Essential Cases is a good companion when preparing for the Exam.
