At bothinstitutions he was Director of the Coagulation Laboratory and atthe University of Michigan he was course Director of the Hematologysequence from 1999-2005. His research area is in the field ofhemostasis, thrombosis, and vascular biology. He was an AssociateEditor of Thrombosis and Haemostasis and serves as anAdvisor to the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. He isthe President of Thromgen, Inc, an early-stage cardiovascularpharmacology company. He is the author of 114 peer-reviewed papers,70 review articles, 13 editorials, 1 book and 8 patents.
