User’s Reviews

Diagnostic Endosonography – A Case Based Approach was motivated by our experience teaching gastroenterology fellows and talking to experienced colleagues. Many fellows who have access to excellent introductory textbooks still feel only partially prepared to handle the more complex and unusual cases that they will sooner or later encounter in independent practice.

We believe that using case studies, an approach not previously employed for EUS texts, engages the reader and leads to better assimilation, greater learning gains, and better retention. Throughout the book the cases connect the EUS findings with other imaging studies, clinical manifestations, management, and current literature. The book is organized by organ systems to provide a comprehensive overview of diagnostic endosonography, including the use of fine-needle aspiration biopsy, the cornerstone of diagnosis with EUS.
