Andreas Katsambas is a Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at the University of Athens, Greece. Professor Katsambas has held various leading positions within scientific societies, including as President of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (2008–10), President of the Hellenic Society of Dermatology and Venereology, board member of the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS) and Chairman of the ILDS Awards Committee, and member of the American Academy of Dermatology – Committee of International Affairs. In 2011 he was inaugurated as an international member of the American Dermatological Association and in 2013 was elected International Board Observer of the American Academy of Dermatology. Professor Katsambas has published more than 300 articles in peer-reviewed international journals and has co-edited fivebooks. He is a member of various editorial boards which include the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Archives of Dermatology, and the Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
