User’s Review:

I am a fourth year medical student and I just finished this yesterday for my EM clerkship. I think this covers all of the most important topics. The mnemonics and other tips in the margin of the book are helpful. I wish there were more colored photos. Otherwise, I am very satisfied and feel that it was a key resource for my preparation for my clerkship exam.

Bought this for my 4th year EM clerkship. It presents pathology in a diagnosis-first manner (similar to FA for Step 1), where is has a section for each disease process that highlights pertinent history, physical, lab findings, and then states treatment. While the information is great, it isn’t too helpful from a real-world (or test question) standpoint, which works from a chief complaint -> ddx -> diagnosis -> treatment. I ended up not using this book after the first week of my clerkship.
