I bought this book on the recommendation of one of the other cardiac anesthesiologists. I do hearts, but I usually call in the cardiologist to review the echo. This book does an excellent job of showing how to do an exam. I’ve been very impressed with it. The only thing I don’t like is the paper is not very heavy and gets dog eared in my bag or pocket. But the material covered in the handbook is fantastic, and it does fit in pockets well.

An awesome little guide that will fit into your pocket. The information in this great little guide is very dense and thorough. I really recommend this guide to carry around with you especially if you are preparing the the advanced proficiency exam in cardiac echocardiography.
