Description

Acute Medicine is the central part of foundation and specialist general medical training and is one of the most rapidly expanding UK hospital specialties. Acute Medicine: Clinical Cases Uncovered combines patient cases and outcomes, drawn from real-life experiences, with reference to the curriculum for Training in General (Acute) Medicine. It provides self-assessment MCQs, EMQs and SAQs to give medical students, junior doctors, nurses and allied healthcare professionals the perfect preparation for life on the wards.

User’s Reviews

I am a nurse in an Acute Medical Unit. This book is excellent for anyone working in an AMU or similar environment, and had helped me develop a better understanding of the care I give on a daily basis and strengthened my confidence in what i already know. I have given only 4 stars because it seems that some of the later cases are covered in less detail than the earlier ones. It is also showing its age a little, with no mention of some key developments in recent years, such as the introduction of NOACs. However, overall this is well written and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to develop their knowledge of the most common presentations in acute medicine.
