Pros: Lots of information that will cover most of your course. A first stop book to gain an understanding before using more in depth books.

Cons: Sometimes the information describing a complex structure is in word on one page then you turn over to see a diagram of it on the next. Personally I just want the diagram. But if you do like words as well, then it is annoying you have to turn over to see the diagram.
