this is the best book to read FIRST when you start your surgery rotation as a student, please understand, it will not be the only book you should read, and it should not be the last book you read for surgery, but please read this FIRST, make it the knowledge foundation upon which you add other books to, the reward will be higher than you imagine, size is not everything

Although this was recommended to me, I feel like there are definitely better resources for surgery as a medical student. Can be a bit waffly in places, and categorises diseases in ways that are less intuitive to understand compared to other resources. Borrow first and see if you like it before purchasing.
