Required text for Complex Medical-Surgical Nursing. It is very straightforward to read and is easier than most nursing textbooks to understand. The only complaint I have is that it is not very comprehensive – it’s a thin book, so it doesn’t go very in-depth with conditions and treatments.

This book is a basic nursing school textbook. Lots of helpful illustrations, nursing interventions, and other tables and charts. I wish this book had a glossary for quick reference to terms. The section on respiratory interventions, mechanical ventilation, airway management is hard to follow and many of the explanations seem identical to other terms and ventilation modes.
