User’s Reviews

Firstly I am not a Doctor, but I am someone who has extensive training and has trained people to be instructors in advanced life saving skills, pre hospital trauma life support and to use the advanced skills of using AEDs and hence understand the whole content of this book to a detailed level to be able to comment. Wiley without a doubt produce a lot of very high quality reference books and this is no exception. It is a modest 124 pages, yet filled to the brim with very concise extremely well written text by two eminent authors. With equally eminent consulting editors. It has very clear 31 chapters on electrocardiagrams recognition and treatment along with guidance to the interpretation of the 12 lead ECG. The introduction chapter has a QR code to the companion website to enable further learning and access to a lot of other material incliding checklists to aid learning. Absolutely loved the book and it gave me a bit of a refresher in every area, if your a medical student or junior then this is a must have book. Likewise for every paramedic. Highly recommended, Andrew

This is a short book aimed at medical students and junior doctors and it functions as both a revision and a reference guide. There are 31 chapters and each is just a few pages long. Each chapter is made up of bullet-point lists that take you through what you need to look for or how you should interpret a reading or what the patient may be experiencing etc. Some chapters also contain a list of OSCE Key Learning Points. There are plenty of illustrations and diagram to support the text. This makes this a fantastic book for quickly dipping into or for testing your knowledge.
