The ‘At a Glance’ range is certainly amongst the very best dip into medical books currently on the market. They are all compiled and contributed to by medical professionals many of whom are still in practice. The layout is excellent with colour coded boxes denoting text into subsections and accompanied by very clearly labelled pictures and diagrams. This book is an extremely well researched and presented book for those working in or studying within the dentistry profession and it is also very accessible and interesting for those not working within the field who may have an interest in the subject.
I think this is a really good teaching and reference aid. It is supported by a very good online website (details in preface how to gain access to that companion site). It is a short book though at 90 pages. It is well illustrated and very concise, which i liked. The guide explores well 8 key areas (Desease, Diagnosis, Therapy, Pain, Treatment, Dentistry, Trauma and Risk). I enjoyed refreshing my knowledge and this was an ideal reference for that. Recommended. Andrew.
