Description

Pearson’s Comprehensive Medical Coding: A Path to Success offers comprehensive coverage of all code sets (ICD-10-CM/PCS, ICD-9-CM, CPT, HCPCS) and can be used for three coding courses: diagnosis coding, physician procedure coding, and inpatient hospital coding.

Designed to give readers a strong foundation in essential competencies, Pearson’s Comprehensive Medical Coding organizes chapters around three basic coding skills—abstracting, assigning, and arranging codes. Students are guided through the entire coding process in each chapter. Flexible in its organization and progressive in its numerous exercises of varying levels, the book is appropriate for traditional, modular, linear, and wheel courses. Guided Examples teach the coding process, while Mini-medical Records help students learn how to identify and abstract pertinent information from medical documentation. Throughout the book, superior in-text features provide a clear learning path to student success.

Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published on UniedVRG. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:

⭐ Found out in class that I did not receive the correct book that matched
the ISBN number. I found out while doing classwork that some of my problems
in the exercises were different from other classmates. Found out my book is
published in 2013, not 2016 as it matched with the ISBN number
9780133797787. This makes it difficult when grading as I was getting some
problems wrong and missing points. Sad to say but it makes me second guess
to purchase books from Amazon again.

⭐ Best support material for a new cider.. the chapters are short and too the
point. I will most likely purchase this book once then rental time is up.

⭐ Ordered it to have a hard copy for my class instead of just the digital
copy the school gave me. Came in handy to be able to add my own notes to it
and highlight what wa important for testing. Worth spending the money for
the A!

⭐ Using this for required reading for a class on medical coding. It is
thorough. The organization of colored titles make it very readable. The
subjectmatter is pretty clear and concise.

⭐ Great book for Medical Coding classes.

⭐ Showed up in brand new condition.

⭐ Bought this for my billing and coding courses and despite it being used,
it is in great condition. I’m very happy with this purchase.

⭐ Great book for the price!

⭐ all that I needed

⭐ Used this book for a CBCS course and for CPC training, hope it helps in
both!
