⭐ Since I am a visual learner, I have bought a lot of medical atlases in
human and veterinary medicine over the years. They usually contain
excellent color photos like this one but with only a short caption
describing just what’s in the image. This one however has a series of
photos related to a case example of each condition which is briefly, but
amply described in several paragraphs labeled Patient Story, Introduction,
Epidemiology, Etiology & Pathophysiology, Clinical & Laboratory Diagnosis,
Differential Diagnosis, Management, Followup, Patient Education &
Resources, Provider Resources, and References. For me, a far better name
for this book would be “Internal Medicine Atlas / Encyclopedia”. It’s well
worth the price.

⭐ Its a great book with ample amount of images and a very good explanation
and therapeutics about diseases. Although, there are limited diseases but
majority are present or at least the most common that are seen in the
clinics. Definitely recommend the book whether just as a collector of
atlases or for fun reading or as reference.

⭐ Great text. Love the pictures. Will order for friends.

⭐ Excellent

⭐ Excellent book for learning & teaching

⭐ I just got a copy of this book and I was reading through the chapter on
intimate partner violence. I simply could not believe how one-sided the
chapter was. ALL the case studies were of men abusing women; all the sexual
assaults cases were of men abusing women. Not a single case study about men
being abused by their partners or being sexually assaulted. It was all
about women being victims and men being the criminals. It is well known
that women commit up to 40% of assaults on their male partners. But reading
this book, you’ll come away with the feeling that men are this big, bad
species unilaterally attacking the female sex. I haven’t yet read pother
chapters but I was turned off by the chapter that I read and I may end up
returning the book, as a matter of fact.It would have been amusing if not
absolutely tragic that even medical literature is no longer spared of the
feminist push that is so prevalent in society. It was as if men don’t exist
at all, and that is utterly unacceptable. Whoever wrote the chapter and/or
edited it did a very poor job. I cannot in all good conscience recommend
the book until it truly reflects the specttum of patients that we see
everyday in our clinics and EDs.Medical education must never be allowed to
become a feminist tool for propaganda and that is what I see in this book.
The author/editor needs to do a much better job.

⭐ OK

⭐ The Color Atlas of Internal Medicine has been an excellent addition to my
clinical practice. I use it regularly as a quick reference and as a
teaching tool while instructing residents. The format is consistent and
concise. The index allows for rapid access of information. I am reassured
by the frequent references and levels of evidence. The digital images are
integrated in a way that artfully links pathology to diagnosis and
treatment. The editors have truly created a well-rounded and accessible
resource. It most definitely met my expectations!

⭐ The color atlas series has become an essential part of my practice! Like
the other books in the color atlas library, The Color Atlas of Internal
Medicine does not disappoint. This Internal Medicine version is formatted
in the same quick reference and evidence based style as the other 2 Color
Atlas books. I find it very simple to reference and glean information. As
expected, there is some overlap between the Pediatric, Internal Medicine
and Family Medicine versions but to own one of these copies in your
respective specialty is essential to a practice! With quick reference
guide, tons of pictures and up-to-date (sourced) references this book
cannot be beat! Highly recommend.

⭐ The Color Atlas of Family Medicine is indispensable resource for my busy
office practice and so I was excited to see that the series has been
expanded to include the Color Atlas of Internal Medicine. This book lives
up to my high expectations set by the CAFM–it presents valuable visual
clues to recognizing disease states during the physical examination,
evidence-based recommendations for treatment, and covers a wide-expanse of
medical topics from common to rare diseases. It is well-organized and I can
reference it quickly as I am working my way through my busy patient
schedule. I have also found it to be an excellent teaching tool for
physicians in training and patients. Highly recommend.
