⭐ The knowledge in this book comes ready for immediate application in the clinical practice. Includes real clinical scenarios with confounding medical comorbidities and how to navigate though the diagnostic process. Cases are short and straight forward, and titles will take you directly to the medical scenario. Common neurological and neurosurgical controversies are discussed from a clinical perspective. When to start/stop coagulation, how to target BP control, how to manage deteriorating patients are some of the topics well covered by this book.The book is updated with recent references, and the format is friendly for your pocket during clinical rotations at ICU or floors.

⭐ ICU fellow here. Coming from a IM (not Neurology) background, this is absolute gold in a Neuro ICU. The style reminds me of Case Files from back in medical school: easy to read, short but high-yield cases, and a summary of the evidence that shapes decision making. I wish they made these for every other ICU-subset.

⭐ Good book for newer providers. Information is presented in case study format, allowing the reader to make the diagnosis, guides the reader through the appropriate plan of care.

⭐ Quick read in a case vignette style covering most of the commonly encountered patients and consults in neuro critical Unit.
