⭐Although I read every page of this book to help prepare for my Pediatrics Shelf exam at the end of my 3rd year of medical school, I found it to be both a major disappointment and a frustrating read. I have always been a big fan of the First Aid series and would highly recommend them for Step 1 and Step 2 prep. However, this book is riddled w/ errors: frequent typos/grammatical errors, poorly aligned/incomplete charts, improperly labeled sections and sub-sections, and worst of all, many FACTUAL ERRORS. There were numerous mistakes and I spend much time confirming things I clearly remembered learning differently. I was only about 15% of the way through the book when it became painstakingly obvious that no one had proof-read this book for basic mistakes, much less check the accuracy of information.Furthermore, I was frequently frustrated about key information being left out of sections and descriptions of disease. Pertinent treatments and characteristic clinical findings, which are extremely important for shelf and board exams were often nowhere to be seen. It felt like the authors were either lazy or did not care about how well the book was written. I have never felt this way about any other study resource I’ve used in my life.I rated this book as 2 stars because overall, it did have some good information and cover a wide breadth of information. I exclusively used this book and UWorld Peds practice questions to study and I did well on the Shelf exam. However, I would probably try a different resource were I to choose again.

⭐This book is FULL of editing errors, as well as some false information. I loved all the other first aids, but someone seriously dropped the ball on this one.
