⭐In stark contrast to Mayo’s own Board Review course, the Q/A book focuses on the esoteric. Especially, the opening chapter on EP.In fact, the lecturers in the course stress several times that the board examination is weighted heavily toward the clinical side, which I have found to be true.Not sure who assembled the questions, but if the label was anything but Mayo, there would have been a lot more negative reviews about it.I recommend staying away from the textbook an attending the course, instead.

⭐I bought this book to study for the Cardiology Boards. Since it is the first edition I didn’t know if it would help. After taking the board exam I can say that this is a very good review book to study from. Many questions were very similar to the ones I encountered in the exam so it helped me a lot. Needless to say I passed the board!! One thing I didn’t like is that some questions have multiple answers contrary to the board where you choose the best answer. Over all I recommend this book.

⭐Many chapters contained esoteric questions with far too much detail on very sub speciality areas within cardiology. The echo and hemodynamic images were helpful. Considerable variability in the quality of each chapter. Braunwald review book is much much better. Would only rent/buy if you need or want to review several more questions before the boards.

⭐Does not live up to the Mayo name. Questions and answers are poor, and not reflective of board questions. Certainly not worth the money.
