⭐ Very good book. I wish i read it before my first frcr 2b attempt. Provide a good list of differentials

⭐ The book is very handy resource that presents a huge amount of content in a concise manner, making it easy to read and comprehend. It provides a great number of mnemonics to help with memory recall and highlights important areas to note for the board exam. In addition, the book is filled with great images, that serve to reinforce the messages and present the content visually, aiding with your memory recall.I would highly recommend this book to all trainees in radiology whether you are initially starting in this area or preparing for the Oral Board exam – it helped me get through it big time!Note, this book looks to be written by someone in the UK, but is also applicable to the Oral Board exam here in the US.

⭐ This book is excellent in several ways: Concise lists of differentials with mnemonics. Each differential diagnosis is briefly explained with its distinguishing features. A case with images is presented along with a “model answer”. This shows how to present and structure a case well in the viva. There is a discussion after each case highlighting discriminating features, separating most common from rarer diagnoses. Lastly, a list of “pearls” with important points to remember, advice how to think out of the box when in order to reach a diagnosis.The book is really let down by the very basic paper quality and resultant poor-contrast images. This goes so far that some key features relevant to the diagnosis are simply not seen on the printed images.

⭐ Bought it for the purpose of FRCR 2B .The quality of images are VERY BAD. I have five or six books for the FRCR (all from amazon) and this has one of teh worst images.The idea of Mnemonics looks good, but ultimately you cannot memorize 100 menmonics!However, it acts more like a DDx book with brief description of the listed differentials,Good discussion of casesNot recommended , if you have enough number of similar books then stick with them. Definitely not recommended for its image quality.

⭐ Mnemonics are a good idea for FRCR 2B preparation, the written text is great. Unfortunately the print quality is awful, particularly the pictures. Very ironic given this is aimed at radiologists. I even asked for a replacement but the quality was just as bad. Did the publisher forget to replace their ink cartridge? See attached photo if you don’t believe me.
