User’s Reviews

“Fills a unique niche in the world of neurosurgery textbooks…An excellent introduction to most of the basic principles and problems of neurosurgery. To quote the editors, it is ‘comprehensive without being encyclopedic.'” ~NEJM, review of the previous edition “This book succeeds in providing a visual understanding of the essentials of neurosurgery. The illustrations — imaging, pathology, operative, diagrams, tables, and figures – in both color and black and white, are spectacular and abundant. The selected reference list is updated and the index is well organized. The legacy of Christopher C. Getch and Setti S. Rengachary, to whom this edition is dedicated, continues.” – Ramsis Farid Ghaly, MD, FACS(Ghaly Neurosurgical Associates) Doody 5 stars! “…the editors are to be appluaded for a remarkable consistency and homogeneity of text despite its 54 chapters being scribed by over 150 authors. At least 50 of them appear still to be in training from their affiliations. ‘Rengachary’ is therefore a book by registrars for registrars, although the next generation may come to know it as ‘Ellenbogen’….it reamains a recommended overview, as its name suggests, of the principles for a growing specialty, whether a junior registrar cribbing for a teaching session or a senior registrar easing into cramming for exit examinations.” ~ Informa Healthcare “This is an excellent textbook and online resource in neurological surgery because it enables you to learn procedures by watching them being performed in videos; get your knowledge updated by recent advances in neurosurgery; applying the latest techniques presented; get information quickly thanks to streamlined presentation and layouts using about 1,000 full-color illustrations.” ~Nano Khilnani –This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:

⭐ The book represents a concise and well organized review of neurosurgical topics. The kindle edition allows easy access on the go.

⭐ The Qpquality meets the described. Delivery faster than expected. Thank You.

⭐ excellent books

⭐ I’m sure it is a great book for neurosurgeons. However, I needed this for nursing reference. Much too detailed for my needs.

⭐ I am a Clinical Research Nurse Specialist and PhD student working in neurosurgery and find this to be a great resource to get a better understanding of neurosurgery from the medical perspective. I especially like the Clinical Evaluation section and the chapter on Endovascular Neurosurgery. I’ve been renewing this text from the library for over 6 months now, and may just need to buy my own copy to have on hand! It’s an approachable length (820 pages), easy to read, with lots of visuals to improve understanding. I highly recommend this text to anyone with some experience with medicine seeking to learn more about neurosurgery.

⭐ Fast delivery. Must book for neurosurgical Residents year 1.

⭐ Impressive book.

⭐ Just a perfect gift for my doctor friend
