Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐This is a fantastic book. I read it from cover to cover and it now rests between my 2 other go-to reference texts about diabetes; Bernstein’s “Diabetes Solution” and Jenny Ruhl’s “Blood Sugar 101”. These 3 books, together, provide all the ammunition I need to keep my blood sugars under control, limit or even avoid diabetic complications and inspire me to work through and rise above the setbacks along the way. There are tips and hints about improving communications with your doctor, lots of simple strategies for carb counting. and oodles of troubleshooting ideas. It has been written for laymen, so most of the medical jargon has been dialed out. The book addresses both Type 1 and Type II diabetes and all age groups to make diabetes management for everyone a breeze. This book is a must-have for any diabetic – to be referenced again and again as needed. You’ll be glad you have it in your arsenal.

⭐I don’t have Diabetes “yet”. I am pre diabetes and bought this book with the hopes to correct things before they get worse. I knew nothing about diabetes before and this book is so full of good information that I can understand. You could google different things but this has it all in one handy easy to read book that you can refer back to. I have learned the art of counting carbs and how to divide up my meals, and how many carbs I should be eating a day. Honestly, way more info than my Dr. gave me for sure. Great book and I recommend it to everyone.

⭐Sherri Shafer shares her decades of experience as a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator in helping you understand the inside scoop on food choices to maximize your diabetes control. Getting diagnosed with diabetes is overwhelming. Sherri breaks it down into easy to grasp concepts. Most diabetes management is about the collective daily choices. This book is a gem in getting you the info you need to make the best choices for your health.

⭐Great book. Ordered for my wife as she now needs to monitor carbs. She loves it compared to the one she ordered “Diabetes for Dummies”. She uses both books, but this one has more info and was what she actually wanted.

⭐Excellent reference book. I am type 2 and this helped me develope a good nutritional plan. You realize the world is not coming down, you just need to be aware of your intake and the carb values

⭐Handy reference to keep my on track for diabetic diet. I am low-carb, and this helps me avoid those foods that contribute to blood glucose spikes. The added benefit is the weight loss which, in turn, helps with glucose control.

⭐A very informative book about food. It explains concepts from not only diabetes; but cholesterol and how foods interact with your body. The book shows details of diet choices and how to improve choices for your particular emphasis.

⭐This book explains a lot that the dietitian and Dr. either glossed over or were not real clear in their explanations. My wife liked it as it explained my diet do’s and don’ts that she could readily understand

⭐Interesting reading but not what I thought book was .it doesn’t help me count carbs but excellent for understanding how different types of carbs work

⭐What a fantastic book. I have been type 1 diabetic for 32 years and the changes can be overwhelming for someone my age. This book tells it all in detail but in a way I can cope with. I am finding it very useful but also very informative. Well worth the money.

⭐Arrived promptly but I had wanted a simple ‘at a glance’ text book to help get my husbands sky rocketing blood sugars under control but this book is not it it’s far too complicated so rather disappointing I’m afraid

⭐Good book for people who have diabetes who want to know about carbs and other things to do with diabetes

⭐What for a friends she was delighted with it
