I do not have any other textbooks to compare this one to. I can;however,comment on the quality of the new $131 textbook I purchased. As another reviewer stated, pages tear out VERY easily. A gentle turn of a page and boom- the page is now removed from the binding. Considering the well known publisher of this text,I wonder if there was some sort of manufacturing defect.

Difficult to read and understand. Too many illustrations and most of not on the page where discussion is located. Illustrations are confusing and not at all likely to help explain topic.
