Really clear and understandable text on abdominal x-rays. Very early on after a basic discussion on imaging, the hazards, body structures and positioning, you’re introduced to the ABCDE system of interpretation of anomalies developed by the authors. The ABCDE approach developed by the authors is quite a clever system for viewing x-rays and after a while it makes really good sense and you find yourself beginning to automatically think that way as you look at the provided x-rays. I also like the before and after use of the same image where the second image is highlighted to show what and where the problems was. While ABCD was pretty standard stuff I also particularly enjoyed the E (Everything else) section; I don’t think they left much out (or in looking at some of the images). Self test section at the end which usefully also included the answers. Whilst aimed at medical students I’m sure that nurses and other healthcare professionals working in this area would find this an interesting an useful resource in their practice.
