I bought the kindle version of this book. I would definitely recommend the hardcover version. The first few chapters weren’t that helpful but I found that as the book progressed it became more useful. It was a good resource for charting purposes (ie here are 10 abnormalities for this system and their general description). The pictures (and there were a lot of them) usually helped illustrate the abnormality. There were times that I felt the book went way to in-depth on certain aspects and other times where I felt it glossed over certain concepts or procedures that I wish it would have covered. All in all, I would give it 4/5 stars. Maybe not worth the $30 I paid for it, but if you could find a used copy for 10-20 it’s worth the extra help.

Book is easy enough to follow – not as in depth as I would like it to have been and the “visual-ness” of it isn’t too great either – sometimes there are just silly cartoons on the pages that don’t have too much to do with the actual content. I bought this book as I’m starting out on a cardiac floor (RN) and for me it’s just a basic overview with just OK visual aids.
