I want to start off by saying that I’m not a fan of the pretest series in general. For most subjects especially family med and pediatrics, the questions are abysmal with tons of errors and outdated information. I took a chance on neuro because of a friend’s rec and am happy I did. After just finishing the shelf yesterday, I can say the book covers the breadth of the exam with the exception of a few psych questions. The detail and style of questions are very good. I highly recommend this book for the test and in general for the neuro rotation. Fits nicely in white coat for ward downtime reading. Good luck

All you need to pass the Neurology shelf exam. This is a perfect resource. If you are weaker in some areas, you will need to look up some information – as sometimes the answer explanations do not go into incredible detail.
