I love all the Davis series, even pharmacology.. These books are all broken down by subject and than each chapter is further broken down into specific sections. Each chapter had at least 75 question to practice a single subject matter… these books helped me to get straight A in Nursing. Everyone always asked me how i did so well on test and i would always give credit to these books. They were a great investment

I love the success books! I have both the Pharmacology success book and the fundamentals success book and would highly recommend them to anyone in these classes! Nursing tests are not like traditional tests and are more critical thinking and applied knowledge based. These books give you a chance to practice these styled questions before you see them on your exam! They are divided into categories that are easy to match up with the materials you will be tested on. I have also seen a few of these questions on my actual test! I have noticed that when I use these as a practice test it gives me a good indication of what I have made on my actual test. The answers give you reasons as to why one is better than the one you may have chosen that was incorrect and it gives you a good idea of how prepared you actually are! These books have saved me from pre-test stress!!!! I feel more prepared for my exams after purchasing these books! I do not know what I would have done without them!!!! Definitely worth the buy!

I used this for my pharmacology class in my BSN program. There is a newer edition, but due to being on a budget I purchased this older edition. Some of my test questions were nearly identical to these in the book. I highly recommend the Davis Q&A Series books. Simply studying powerpoints and reading for comprehension are not enough to do well in nursing school; knowing the exact rationale for why the answers are correct and incorrect offer tremendous value and will help ensure your success. My school offers student-led weekly study groups by students who previously did very well in the class. With the use of this book, I was able to ace my tests and never once went to a study group.

Warning to my nursing student peers, the info in this edition is NOT current or even close enough to study from. I took the quiz in the book and during lecture my professor was pulling updated NCLEX practice questions that directly conflicted with 3 answers given in this book, during just a single lecture on Anti-Parkinsonism drugs. So frustrating.
