This book is a very easy to read text about addiction. However, there is a new edition that will be released in May 2015, so you may want to wait until then to buy the updated work. I am hopeful that text will provide more insight regarding opioid medication usage, dependence and addiction in the chronic pain patient population.

If you need a quick ference from a text for assessment & treatment for Substance dependence disorder, this is the right one. Is complete and very informative in a reduced space.
