Description

The Tenth Edition of Schwartz’s Principles of Surgery maintains the book’s unmatched coverageof the foundations of surgery while bringing into sharper focus new and emerging technologies. We have entered a new era of surgery in which minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, and the use of computers and genomic information have improved the outcomes and quality of life for patients. With these advances in mind, all chapters have been updated with an emphasis on evidence-based, state-of-the-art surgical care. An exciting new chapter, “Fundamental Principles of Leadership Training in Surgery,” expands the scope of the book beyond the operating room to encompass the actual development of surgeons. This edition is also enriched by an increased number of international chapter authors and a new chapter on Global Surgery. More than ever, Schwartz’s Principles of Surgery is international in scope–a compendium of the knowledge and technique of the world’s leading surgeons.

THE WORLD’S #1 SURGERY TEXT–UPDATED TO INCLUDE STATE-OF-THE-ART EVIDENCE-BASED SURGICAL CARE AND LEADERSHIP GUIDANCE FOR TRAINEES AND PRACTICING SURGEONS

Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published on UniedVRG. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:

⭐ Arrived on time and was in an excellent condition. One of the most-if not the most- beneficial comprehensive books for first two years of general surgery residency. Well-written, well-explained and overall an easy read.

⭐ This is one of the two essential bibles of surgery

⭐ Blah

⭐ Somewhat of the “Bible” for training and practicing surgeons. Came as advertised: good shape, no marks; exactly as expected.

⭐ The book’s is pretty heavy. It comes in a box with styros and the book itself is plastic wrapped. No problem at all with the packaging.

⭐ You can really understand surgery by reading this one. Impress your attending and show some interest by reading the topics in this book.

⭐ Great first read for surgery residency

⭐ The book is exellent. I like photos, algoritms and text font. The type of writing is exellent too. This is the best book I have ever had.

⭐ It’s an excellent book. Not only for students. I have the anterior edition for control. It’s really new!. Most of the items are up to date. Collia.

⭐ The master textbook. Unavoidable for any surgery resident. Information is good, although I can’t compare with previous editions. The only downside is a large number of typographical and grammatical or spelling errors, which are unexpected in a book of this quality. Also, I have the Kindle edition which works worst on my Kindle fire, because it is all in greyscale and the tables are difficult to read. Works well on other Kindle platforms such as my PC and phone.
