Description
A firm favourite of medical students and junior doctors, Lecture Notes on Clinical Skills covers the essential principles and techniques of history taking and examination, and provides guidance on the key professional skills involved in developing and maintaining good communication between doctor and patient. This new fourth edition has been revised to provide up–to–date information on procedures and a greater emphasis on the patient–centred approach.
Reviews
One con of the book is the short one paragraph discussion on MR enterography for Crohn’s disease. At most academic children’s hospital, MR enterography has basically replaced small bowel follow through and CT for assessment of Crohn’s disease status.
Overall, the book is very readable, and I’m slowly digesting several pages each day.
