This new addition to the internationally best-selling Lippincott’s Illustrated Reviews Series includes all the popular features of the series: an abundance of full-color annotated illustrations, expanded outline format, chapter summaries, review questions, and case studies that link basic science to real-life clinical situations. The book can be used as a review text for a stand-alone cell biology course in medical, health professions, and upper-level undergraduate programs, or in conjunction with Lippincott’s Illustrated Reviews: Biochemistry for integrated courses.
Reviews
A crash course in metabolism and nutrition, what a very novel idea! I see it is designed with the medical student in mind i.e a trainee or junior doctor, wanting to expend their knowledge in the field. As a well rounded knowledgable person on the subject of nutrition and human metabolic processes, there are some terms I am familiar with from ny student days when I had to learn about these complex biological concepts at A level! Nonetheless, i shall be having a go at it in due course to see if I can be on a par with the medics out there. Also, a very reasonable price, as most medical textbooks are well over 100 pounds a copy!
