Why do we gesture when we speak? The Cognitive Psychology of Speech-Related Gesture offers answers to this question while introducing readers to the huge interdisciplinary field of gesture. Drawing on ideas from cognitive psychology, this book highlights key debates in gesture research alongside advocating new approaches to conventional thinking.
Reviews
With so many review books on the market, it is often difficult to choose one that achieves the right mix of concision, readability and erudition. With Amin and Schindler’s review book, all of these are achieved yet they manage to cover the entire spectrum of vascular neurology, particularly as it relates to the ABPN’s vascular neurology board certification exam. It is a highly enjoyable book to read and makes preparation for the boards fun. I would strongly recommend this book to fellows in vascular neurology (both for board preparation and beyond), resident physicians as well as advanced practitioners working in neurology or vascular neurology. I cannot recommend this book highly enough and I look forward to the second edition.
