Description

Gale Encyclopedia Of Prescription Drugs, a two-volume set of 300 entries, is a comprehensive consumer resource on the most commonly prescribed drugs describing potential side effects, drug and food interactions, recommended dosages, and warnings/precautions. Entries follow the standardized, balanced format of the health/medicine Gale Encyclopedia of Γ’?Β¦ line of titles. The addition of Key Terms sidebars enhances the main body. All entries have a bibliography and color image of the drug. The front matter includes an introduction and foreword by one of the advisors and the back matter has a subject index, glossary, list of organizations, and Questions to Ask Your Pharmacist.

Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users, collected at the time the book is getting published on UniedVRG. It can be related to shiping or paper quality instead of the book content:

⭐ I found these questions helpful in studying for my final med exams. The questions covered the specialties i needed to learn. The topics i felt were a little different to what is covered in other texts so it was a good practice to break away from the standard questions.Compared to other texts, the answers are not very detailed and hence i often had to look up other texts for more information rather than being all in the one book. I guess this was a compromise for the ‘pocket’ size, but personally I mostly used it at home and would have preferred more detail.Worthwhile if you have covered the other ‘main’ MCQ texts and looking for something a little different

⭐ This book was probably the best in terms of layout and classifying the difficulty of questions. It made it clear what knowledge was a must and what was at the higher end of achieving top grades.

⭐ all okay thanks.

⭐ Necessity for PLAB 1 exam. They need to update the questions as EMQs have been stopped from November 2012.

⭐ good book

⭐ It helps me to remember and there are references to the clinical specialty book that guides me to the page and information to read through. This book is recommended

⭐ I liked the book. Didn’t use it as much as I liked but was pitched at the right level. Some questions a little obvious. Good answers for descriptions. But definitely have a look around, as I feel other books may be just as good.
