This book is a tour-de-force and will be indispensable to the practicing neurologist, general internal medicine physician, neurology trainee, advance practice professional or medical student as well as the general reader interested in learning more about neurology and the neurosciences. It is – at its essence – an eminently practical book which combines readability with utility. Salardini’s erudition is striking and he seems at ease in both general internal medicine and in neurology. I enjoyed reading this book and I found that there was a perfect level of detail contained within it and never so much that it become unwieldy. I plan to continue to use this book well in to the future and I look forward to the second edition.
