Reviews
Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
âThis book plus Wills Eye Manual are all you need to pass ophthalmology oral boards. I reviewed this book twice and read through Wills about a month before the exam and felt pretty prepared. I would also recommend verbally discussing cases and simulated exam scenarios with a study partner, as this will greatly help you organize your thoughts and get your pacing down. What’s nice about this book is it doesn’t just prompt you to regurgitate every testing modality and differential for each photo (that’s what Wills is for), but rather guides you through specific scenarios and key topics that are often tested.
âExcellent resource of clinically relevant cases for oral board preparation. The cases are presented in an orderly and cohesive fashion to enhance retention of information and develop test taking skills. Although not an exhaustive list of cases, the total number and topics of the cases make this a recommended study tool.
âExcellent resource for oral board prep with well thought out cases, good explanations with appropriate differentials. This is a great complement to Pembertonâs book and the willâs eye manual. Only error i found was mention of external beam radiation for RB treatment (not a good idea as can cause secondary cancers)
âExcellent cases to assist in preparation for the orals. I used this book, Pemberton and The Wills Manual. I would also recommend taking part in a mock oral
âExcellent book
âExcellent spread of questions covering all of the major subspecialties including optics. Topics came up on actual exam. Very through explanations in answer key as well. Question difficulty just slightly more difficult than actual exam which is very handy ( find that other questions books can have too many esteric questions that never come up on exams). Very good yield on study time invested.
âBuen libro de oftalmologĂa
