Reviews
Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐I used the problems in this book, last minute optics and David Guyton’s book and went from a zero percentile on my first OKAP to a 99 percentile.I liked this more than last minute optics. I also took David Guyton’s review class. That man is a brilliant teacher. He teaches on Saturday mornings in Baltimore. I trekked from Philadelphia. I am so glad I did.Don’t leave optics until the last minute!
⭐I bought this book along with Elkington’s Clinical Optics, thinking it might be handy to have a review book for quick glances. I found I didn’t use it much, as Elkington is pretty concise. This book added little, but that’s not it’s function. It’s designed to be a review book, not a primary text. In this capacity, it succeeds very well, with well-formatted summaries and instructive diagrams.Build your knowledge first with something like Elkington, then come back to this. I’m sure I’ll find more use for it as I approach other optics exams in the future.
⭐Fantastic
⭐This book is all you need for optics on the boards. I’ve used it to increase my score to the top 10%-tile on the optics sections on the OKAP and prepare for the written ophthalmology boards. It’s an easy read and there are numerous diagrams and questions. This book is better than last minute optics.
