Reviews
Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐Thought it was out of print. It is not a book to read the entire way through but is used for referencing particular ares of microsurgery.
⭐I was asked by a resident in training ‘what is the best way to improve my microsurgical skills?’ In addition to simply practice, practice, practice it is essential to understand the fundamentals. All too often in training, an attending will answer the question ‘why is it done this way?’ with ‘because that’s the way it’s always been done.’ I would never accept that explanation. You will never learn anything if you don’t understand the why. This book is great because it explains not just the ‘how’ of microsurgical techniques but also the ‘why’ using clever schematic drawings to explain the physics involved in each motion/technique/procedure. Once you visualize the ‘why’ you will internalize the fundamentals and never forget them.It is a great reference book if you have been in practice for many years as I have but for the novice I think it should definitely be in their must read/must have collection.
⭐This is an amazing book. The first edition was really good, I am so pleased that there is a second. However, the illustrations are monochrome. The title page clearly states they are in colour. For this price, I expected colour illustrations (vital to the subject) and better paper. Is this a “third world” edition from the publishers? Shame on them!
⭐Eye surgery e’un libro fondamentale per chi inizia ad affacciarsi nel mondo della chirurgia dell’occhio.Consigliato a tutti gli specializzandi e medici chirurghi oculisti
