This Field Guide assembles the anatomy, physiology, and functioning of the eye, as well as the engineering and design of a wide assortment of tools for measuring, photographing, and characterizing properties of the surfaces and structures of the eye. Also covered are the diagnostic techniques, lenses, and surgical techniques used to correct and improve human vision.

Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐This book is certainly not meant to be a complete textbook about ophthalmic optics. However, it is very suitable to obtain an brief overview or to use it as a work of reference. The texts are easy to understand if one has a general background in geometric optics. I would also recommend this book to medical students who don’t have to know each and every detail about the underlying technologies.

⭐As an admin at an optics company so I can’t give a thorough review of this field guide (I process the paperwork, not work with eyeballs all day long). However, my boss swears by this guide and had me purchase 1/2 dozen of these books to give out to all of the optical scientists in our department, so it has to be pretty good!
