Description
Beautifully illustrated throughout, Ophthalmology Lecture Notes concentrates on the most common eye problems that health practitioners are expected to diagnose and manage. The book begins with a brief introduction to ocular anatomy and eye examination, and then focuses on core conditions in ophthalmology. The highly structured text includes self assessment material at the end of each chapter, as well as a series of clinical cases at the end of the book – all designed to facilitate easy access to information, making the book an ideal resource for both study and revision, while the brand new companion website at www.wiley.com/go/james/ophthalmology features all of the book’s illustrations and images.Whether you need to develop your knowledge for clinical practice, or refresh that knowledge in the run up to examinations, Ophthalmology Lecture Notes will help foster a systematic approach to the clinical situation for all medical students and hospital doctors.

⭐Let me start off by explaining this book is literally like someone converted a powerpoint into a book format and then change only half the bullet points into sentences so it keeps things slightly too basic and doesn’t give a good comprehensive back ground. It has a only the very classical findings and classical stuff you would need to know for your general medical education.I felt the book was overly simplistic however I had several years of ophthalmology experience before medical school. The other AIs at my school who hadn’t had that experience felt it would have served them better when they rotated through on their 2 weeks of surgery rotation but as AIs it was too brief of a book. I feel that it’s similar to paying for the material that ophthobook already can give you for free.I had higher hopes for this book it was recommended by 2 people from classes above me but i’m not going to pass on the recommendation. This book would provide the most help if you are a medical student and want to know if you are interested in ophthalmology. The books i have found most important and useful are these:For the beginner: Ophthobook.comFor the ED resident/general practicioner: Basic Ophthalmology, 9th ed. by Richard A. Harper MDFor the Acting Intern wanting to impress on you rotations: parsons Diseases of the eyeFor reference and quick guide during the day: Wills eye manual
⭐As someone who was using the 1976 version of this book (which is still an excellent problem oriented brief guide), I was looking for more depth and account of modern techniques which this book provides perfectly. A little more details on expected outcomes and ultimate prognoses of visual problems would be useful.
⭐Very quick delivery, much appreciated! Thank you
