Reviews
Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:
⭐This book is a great study book for the COA exam. It is extremely convenient being on my phone and tablet. I can take it anywhere and study when I have time.
⭐I ordered this book online because i was using the 8th edition and didnt know how much different the two editions were. to my surprise, the difference isnt much really, except for an addition of 3-4 chapters towards the end of the book in the 9th edition. Anyway, i am really happy with the purchase and order because first of all, it came to my country (all the way in the Middle East) in one piece and on time even though it was shipped out a day or two later than it was actually supposed to.the Internet access included in the text allows you to view the book online and be able to print it as well. This is a good option if you are to travel and cant take the book with you because it will obviously consume a lot of weight. otherwise, im not sure what good it will be because there is no study guide available and the only thing you can do with the online access is view your purchased books online.
⭐Bought this bout one year for more on the job knowledge etc. I am going to be taking the JCAHPO Certification test soon and luckily this text is accepted as a “at home study guide”. Good guidelines but if you want quick access to “quiz” questions, use the online website that comes with purchasing this book. Much much easier to find what you’re looking for. Good Luck!
⭐I decided to get my certification for an ophthalmic assistant and decided to invest in this book to help me study for the exam. I have an older edition available to me at my job, but wanted something more up to date. A side by side comparison so far shows that most chapters in the older edition and the newest one are identical, but I am not even half way through the book. The photos and illustrations are a little better in the latest edition, and I am sure there will be some discrepancies when it discusses some of the pharmaceuticals. The price for this text book bets the JCAHPO website hands down. Amazon is way cheaper, and you get a new edition, not someone else’s highlighted, used copy if you buy on Ebay or Half.com. A must for the certification exam, and also check out the Ophthobook and the book of old exams by Janice Ledford, also sold here on Amazon.
⭐Very fast shipping, brand new in wrapper, and the information looks very thorough.
⭐I’m not sure why this book isn’t more highly recommended over some of the other texts on Amazon. It’s got an exhaustive listing of all the newer technology and is completely updated. I haven’t yet gone to the online site but it comes with an online subscription as well.
⭐An excellent resource for anyone studying to be an ophthalmic assistant or technician. I have a much earlier version of this book and the updates are very helpful
⭐I went to return this book and it’s no longer eligible for a return. I do not want this book.
⭐I haven’t unwrap it from its shrink-wrap yet since I have previous release, however, it’s must have book for any student aspiring to become an OT
⭐Love that you can search the Kindle edition. It makes finding references so much easier.
⭐Great knowledge
⭐Needed for school. Came in quickly and works great.
⭐Very convenient to read on my phone or my Samsung tablet.
