Description

A prospective study comparing the intraocular pressure (IOP) lowering effect and complication rates of trabeculectomy and non-penetrating deep sclerectomy (NPDS) without collagen implants in patients with medically uncontrolled primary open-angle glaucoma. The study concluded that trabeculectomy lowers IOP more effectively, but NPDS has a lower rate of post-operative complications.
