Description

A systematic review and meta-analysis assessing the effectiveness of early feeding (within 60 minutes of birth) versus delayed feeding for the prevention of neonatal hypoglycaemia. Based on analysis of 19 studies involving over 175,000 participants, the review suggests that early feeding may reduce the incidence of neonatal hypoglycaemia, but the evidence certainty is very uncertain. The authors recommend continuing early feeding due to its many other benefits.
