Description

The aim was to evaluate tear volume change by using videomeniscometry before and after blepharoptosis surgery. Fifty-nine eyes of 36 patients underwent levator advancement. Results indicated that the mean margin reflex distance-1 increased significantly, while the average tear meniscus radius significantly decreased (from 0.31 mm to 0.23 mm). The tear volume decreased after the blepharoptosis surgery was performed, especially for an initially high tear volume.
