This narrative review summarizes the epidemiology, clinical features, and selected management of severe systemic autoimmune diseases, including connective tissue diseases and vasculitides, within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Admissions are complex, often triggered by disease flare-ups or organ failure, and are associated with high mortality rates.
