Description

This paper proposes a new classification of Diabetic Macular Edema (DME) based on Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) findings. The classification uses five parameters (retinal thickness, diffusion, volume, morphology, and presence of vitreous traction) to better catalogue and follow this complex clinical entity, implementing the ETDRS clinical definition with precise OCT data.
