This study evaluates the short- and long-term in vivo safety and efficacy of off-label topical bevacizumab (Avastin) application for treating corneal neovascularization secondary to various corneal diseases. Results showed that the treatment was generally well-tolerated for up to 12 months, inhibiting corneal neovascularization and leading to a significant reduction in the vascularized area (61% mean reduction).
