Description

Conn’s Translational Neuroscience provides a comprehensive overview reflecting the depth and breadth of the field of translational neuroscience, with input from a distinguished panel of basic and clinical investigators. Progress has continued in understanding the brain at the molecular, anatomic, and physiological levels in the years following the ‘Decade of the Brain,’ with the results providing insight into the underlying basis of many neurological disease processes.

Reviews

This book is a must for 3rd/4th-year medical students or junior interns on ENT rotations. The format of Q-A type learning is especially effective in this book. I find that the information presented in ENT Secrets is much more approachable than Pasha and it’s easy to digest lots of high-yield information from the short and to-the-point chapters. The 4th edition of ENT Secrets has several updates that improve upon previous editions including many updated figures, more thorough and clear explanations in several chapters, and overall more clarity and detail. While this book is not intended to be a resource for learning surgical anatomy, there are plenty of helpful anatomic figures that relate the text to the relevant anatomy. These are definitely questions that frequently come up on the wards and in the OR, and the explanations are presented in a format that facilitates learning the rational behind the answer instead of promoting baseless memorizing. I cannot recommend this updated version enough.
