Description

The Fifth Edition of Urology in the House Officer Series creates a concise source of clinical information on urology for medical students and residents that can be easily carried for quick reference. Concentrating on the non-surgical aspects of urology, this pocket guide provides the information needed for making a diagnosis and deciding on the proper treatment course.

Reviews

I used Netters Internal Medicine as a 3rd and 4th year medical student and found the text to be a great resource. It included all the information I needed including basic science review without being too tedious. I also found it much more readable than other comprehensive texts. In contrast to review books that other students used, each chapter provided a more thorough explanation to the theory and methodology behind the diagnostic tests and management decisions. This not only helped me remember the subject material, but actually understand the disease process and therapeutic interventions, thus making my participation during rounds and patient care much more relevant and meaningful. The 2nd edition comes with more chapters and an online version that is helpful because you can search the text more easily, browse through the many illustrations and diagrams and it also provides printable patient information for common topics such as breast cancer screening and COPD management
