Reviews

Reviews from Amazon users which were colected at the time this book was published on the website:

⭐Excellent book, I was hoping for more diagrams and pictures. Overall very good for Part 1 exam. Highly recommended !

⭐Incredibly well written. Thoroughly researched, concise and up-to-date.

⭐This is an excellent and comprehensive text from Oxford Specialty Training. Written by expert practitioners and ecucators in the field within the UK, it is a great resource for students, and the level of detail and comprehensive coverage of each subject is superb, considering it is ‘basic’ – including the excellent graphics, photographs and diagrams. It takes the opthalmology student through the anatomy, physiology, pathology, biochemistry, optics and more and certainl would be a great support to more in-depth texts on each of the subject areas covered, as an overview and revision aid.

⭐This was useful for part 1 FRCOphth, particularly as it only covers the bare essentials and for some topics (e.g. Biochem, genetics, stats etc) this makes revision under time restraints easier…However it is not enough on its own, particularly wrt anatomy, physiology and optics. Also it is FULL of errors so be careful. Not only are there often typos or inconsistencies, there are some diagrams that are just plain wrong!Overall it is useful if you can get hold of it, but not worth the asking price in its current edition I’m afraid!
