⭐Got my order on time and as described
⭐This book was very lightly used. In excellent condition. I need it because I’m studying to be an Ophthalmologists technician assistant.
⭐This is one of the best textbooks I’ve ever used!!What I like:-Absolutely no errors/typos found anywhere.-Plenty of self-assessment questions at the end of each chapter, AND answers included in the back.-Glossary and index in the back.-The material is sometimes repeated in subsequent chapters, which means it reinforces what you’re learning, as you go. Make sure to start at chapter 1.-Explanations are clear and very easy to follow with a basic high school education. It isn’t overly technical, although some chapters give a lot of information, so it feels more like a reference book for certain chapters (such as medications, and medical coding).-There are videos to watch, which you can do instantly on your phone with the QR codes. They’re good little videos.I am using this book to prepare to take the COA exam (entry level). To do that, I had to take the self-study course, which includes this book, plus the online exam for it. I purchased both of these from the JCAHPO online store. Here is what you need to know about the online exam for this textbook, which they don’t necessarily tell you:-It is un-timed and open-book. You can pause the exam and come back to it anytime. There are 240 questions, and you have to get 80% of them correct. You also get one free second attempt to pass. Results are immediate, and you get an instant certificate of completion emailed to you.-This textbook includes core material for ALL levels of certification, even the highest Medical Technician. Therefore, the exam for this textbook will include questions from the ENTIRE book. It is likely MORE difficult than the entry level COA exam for this reason. So if you can pass this exam easily (closed-book) then I assume you’ll have a fantastic chance of passing the COA exam on your first try.The test is very long and tedious, but because it’s open-book, there really is no excuse not to get all of the questions correct. I spent 3 weeks reading the entire book and taking careful notes, and I got a 98% on the exam, but many of the questions I definitely had to look up. But if it were closed-book and timed, there’s no way I would have passed with only 3 weeks of study. There’s a LOT of information in the book.I still have to sit for the actual COA exam once I’ve accumulated 1,000 hours of experience, so I will need to do some serious memorization and continue studying this book inside and out before I even considering taking it. I’ve purchased COA practice tests from the site ExamEdge and those are really helping, so I recommend that.Good luck in becoming certified!
⭐Book is ok. A lot of spelling errors but this is not the sellers fault. However it did not come with the code to take the jcahpo pretest. Sadly it took me 8 months to realize this. If the seller has any suggestions on how to get the code to me I’d appreciate it. Otherwise book is in brand new condition and I use it as a reference all the time at work.
