Description
In Focus Ophthalmology is aimed at all medical and health science students who require an introductory, low cost and highly illustrated guide to this specialty. The material is presented in double page spreads. The left-hand page has a synoptic and highly structured text (normally under the following headings: incidence; clinical features; differential diagnosis; management; prognosis). The right-hand page has a selection of four to six clinical photographs.. Ophthalmology In Focus is a convenient pocket size and therefore ideal for quick preparation before ward rounds. Each volume also includes self-assessment material, which is extremely helpful for preparation for examinations.Because of shorter hospital stays and more outpatient treatment, students are less likely to be able to see the full range of conditions on the ward – the books in this series help supply that deficitInvaluable source of clinical photographs – students are now less able to be have the opportunity to see – in real life – the full range of conditions that they are expected to know about and that they may be tested onSynoptic structured text – ideal for quick preparation before ward roundsIncludes self-assessment material – picture tests – handy for revision, especially for the all-important ‘OSCE’New series name: In FocusNew series designTest revised to include more on managementPicture tests included in each volume for first time

⭐I’m an optometry student and I love being able to have a really quick summarized page to jog my memory about each condition. I’ve suggested it to all my classmates.
⭐I love books with pictures! This great little book has lots of great photos that will prove useful in clinical work for non-ophthalmologists and for physicians-in-training , as well as in preparation for those pesky board exams. It is extremely well organized and concise, yet (for me anyways) it seems to cover all of the important highlights, and does so in a very memorable way. However, it only gives generalized treatment information, so a drug reference or other additional book would be needed for specific medication dosing. For me, as an internist, this is perfect. Happy reading!
⭐Great clinical resource absolute must have in the test room or hospital setting.Gives you just the facts and useful when with patients.Seller was webuybooks and they were great, very fast dispatch, received within a couple of days.Thank you very much
⭐I have used this book as revision for my final exams for Optometry because the pictures are decent and it really gives you a quick overview of important eye conditions. This is not to be used in isolation however as it is very brief in terms of content. It is ideal for reading on the train/ quick revision purposes. The book was delivered fast and was in good condition too.
