Finally a much needed book for learning cross sectional anatomy that shows MRI imagining side by side with familiar Netter illustrations. The chapter for peritoneal spaces was key to understanding how the spaces communicate. What a great book for everyday clinical reference.

The text was spot on for what I needed, but the seller had rated the book’s condition as good or very good. There was evidence of previous water damage and significant creases in the cover. But for the low price, I was ok with it.

I have finally upgraded from the version I had in fellowship ten years ago! Still a cornerstone of pulmonary medicine. I still prefer this over Fischman’s since this overlaps with critical care more and has a more fluid writing. It even has online reference which is helpful when I need access

  • Number of pages: 336
  • Format: PDF
  • File Size: 196.4 MB

Description

A fracture first and foremost is a soft-tissue injury, the best possible outcome of which strongly depends on correct decision making at the right time and state-of-the-art soft-tissue handling. In order for orthopaedic and trauma surgeons to address these issues comprehensively without being plastic surgeons themselves, a certain level of interdisciplinary understanding has to be acquired.

Reviews

This book beautifully begins with the most basic of soft tissue surgical techniques, including how to hold the scalpel and cut tissue as well as the proper use of other surgical tools. It progresses to describing and providing treatment recommendations with detailed photographs of complex traumatic soft-tissue issues. The color photos and diagrams are superb. This is very much a niche book without shortcomings.– Samuel Chmell, MD, University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine

Reviews

I have only covered a couple of chapters, but so far it isn’t too bad to grasp the information. Some of it is a little over my head, but so far it isn’t a chore to read. Some of it will simply take time and memorization, but there isn’t too much lost in the scientific jargon to make it too difficult to understand.

Reviews

Pediatric Dermatology is an ideal book for me: it features lots of really good clinical photographs to illustrate the conditions, augmented with relevant (but not too much) text to back them up. The intended audience is paediatricians and GPs with a special interest in dermatology – but in reality it would be a good primer for those in training too.
