The text was spot on for what I needed, but the seller had rated the book’s condition as good or very good. There was evidence of previous water damage and significant creases in the cover. But for the low price, I was ok with it.

I have finally upgraded from the version I had in fellowship ten years ago! Still a cornerstone of pulmonary medicine. I still prefer this over Fischman’s since this overlaps with critical care more and has a more fluid writing. It even has online reference which is helpful when I need access

This book beautifully begins with the most basic of soft tissue surgical techniques, including how to hold the scalpel and cut tissue as well as the proper use of other surgical tools. It progresses to describing and providing treatment recommendations with detailed photographs of complex traumatic soft-tissue issues. The color photos and diagrams are superb. I have only covered a couple of chapters, but so far it isn’t too bad to grasp the information. Some of it is a little over my head, but so far it isn’t a chore to read. Some of it will simply take time and memorization, but there isn’t too much lost in the scientific jargon to make it too difficult to understand.

The intended audience is paediatricians and GPs with a special interest in dermatology – but in reality it would be a good primer for those in training too. Wonderful reference! Nice images and explanations. If you are a new sonigraphy student, this may be a tad overwhelming. However, if future plans are in OB& Gyn then this would benefit the need.
